In a special assembly at Redwood Christian Middle and High School, senior athletes Skyler Gallarzan and Alex Williams signed NCAA Letters of Intent to commit to playing their sports (rowing and baseball, respectively) at the college level.
November 8th was the first day of the year that student athletes can accept offers of athletic scholarships from a college or university. All over the country student athletes made similar commitments to NCAA Division 1 or Division 2 colleges and universities. Both Gallarzan and Williams received offers to participate in Division 1 athletics. Gallarzan has been offered a position on the rowing team at Loyola Marymount University. Williams will be receiving both a position on the Stanford baseball team and a partial scholarship.
Both Gallarzan and Williams signed their intent letters in front of their family, friends, teachers, coaches, and the Redwood Christian Middle and High School student body.
