What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?
RCS students recognize a need for greater wisdom beyond what is taught in the classroom, and they seek it out. They develop the ability to think critically, rather than simply respond to what is happening around them. Also, there is a heart of service to others that extends beyond the school.
Respond to the tagline: “Inspiring Futures”.
Our students represent our future, and as a teacher I want to inspire them to be the very best version of themselves. Hopefully being in my classes will challenge students to think more deeply about the world around them, as well as give them skills to meet adversity with grace. Being able to properly use language to communicate ideas will inspire our students to bridge seemingly insurmountable gaps.
What do you want your students to gain from having known you?
I want them to know they are loved, and that God has a plan for their lives beyond their wildest dreams. They should also feel more confident in their ability to express themselves in writing, and in thinking critically about what they read. I hope they leave my classroom with a greater appreciation for excellent literature.
What is your favorite verse?
Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness”
