The Field Family

Staying Connected for Years to Come

One of the RCS goals to #CelebrateRCS during our 50th anniversary is to connect with current RCS Parents and see what God has been doing in their families.  Dr. Hearne recently interviewed first grade parents, Kevin and Sonia Field.

As part of the interview, Dr. Hearne asked Mr. and Mrs. Field to share their thoughts on this month’s theme verse,  Psalms 40:3, “He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.”

Mr. and Mrs. Field shared, “Using our words to speak life to others is something we have chosen to focus on this year. If we Let Go and Let God, we can be used by Him to speak life and resuscitate others that need encouragement.” #PraiseGod

Tell us about your family and something you like to do together.

Mr. and Mrs. Field: We are a family of three who enjoys the outdoors. Together we’ll grab some sandwiches and head to a skate park, hike Fairmont ridge, other local parks, or explore science museums. We also enjoy skiing, cub scouts, and we are on the local swim team. You can even find us at Carnegie riding our dirt bikes together. Come join us!

Why did you choose Redwood Christian Schools?

Mr. and Mrs. Field: We wanted the best for our son Joshua-a school that would provide a Christ-centered education and high academics.

What do you love the most about RCS?

Mr. and Mrs. Field: The teachers! Their passion for teaching is evident. We feel that they really want our child to succeed and we truly believe Joshua is getting the best care and instruction possible.

How has RCS helped your child(ren) to grow/develop academically, socially, and/or spiritually?

Mr. and Mrs. Field: RCS has provided a safe environment where Joshua can learn and socialize with like-minded kids and families. RCS is also providing our son the spiritual foundation that will allow him to grow and stand firm in his faith.

What makes Redwood Christian Schools Unique?

Mr. and Mrs. Field: It’s a TK-12th grade school. Belonging to a school community that would allow our family to stay connected for many years with families that share our values and beliefs is important to us.
