Redwood Christian Schools Announces Elementary Principal, Miss Megan Sinisi

Redwood Christian Schools is proud to announce that, on June 1, 2021, Miss Megan Sinisi will be Principal of Redwood Christian Elementary!  Miss Sinisi earned her BA in Educational Ministries from Moody Bible Institute and then her Masters of Science in Education from Walden University.  She joined the RCS administration in 2017 as the Redwood Elementary Assistant Principal, and in the last four years has earned the reputation of a woman of God and is recognized for her talent, wisdom, professionalism, and love for the Lord.  She has a love and passion for Christian education, the students, and the teachers she is called to serve.

Dr. Hearne first met Miss Sinisi in the spring of 2015 when he was serving on the Association of Christian Schools International accreditation team reviewing TLC, the Christian school she taught at in China.  When asked about his first memory of her, he replied, “I’ve been on over 20 accreditation visits, walking through and visiting hundreds of teachers’ classrooms.  Although it was in 2015, I remember Miss Sinisi’s classroom like it was yesterday.  Upon walking in the door I knew that I was in the presence of a master teacher, a woman of God who knew that her calling was to serve the students that God had placed in her classroom.  At that moment in time I prayed, ‘God when the time is right, send her to RCS!’  My second memory is just as vivid!  It was exactly two years later, in the spring of 2017 when Miss Sinisi was interviewing to become the RCE Assistant Principal.  Because she was still in China, Mr. Huemoeller and I interviewed her on a new video teleconferencing software, Zoom!  During the interview Miss Sinisi got so excited that she jumped off her couch when Mr. Hueoeller asked her, ‘What would you think about teaching a 4th and 5th grade character development class as part of your assistant principal duties?’  It was at that moment in time that I knew God was confirming Miss Sinisi was God’s choice to come to Redwood Christian Elementary!”

During her four years at RCE, Miss Sinisi has been instrumental in the life of the campus, with no task being too great or too small.  She is actively involved in all aspects of RCE campus, from recess supervision to parking lot duty, from Chapel speaking to leading professional development.  In the last four years she has helped with the implementation of Saxon Math, Deep Roots Bible, and English Language Arts Benchmark Advance curriculums, and the adoption of standards based grading in TK-2.  She is currently helping to lead the adoption of the new standardized assessment that students will take later this spring, Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) Growth.

The mission of Redwood Christian Schools is to equip students for daily living and eternal life.  This is accomplished by the schools expected school-wide learning results including the development of active learners, critical and creative thinkers, effective communicators, responsible and respectful citizens, and spiritually growing students.  The elementary campus is located in Castro Valley, CA.

Miss Sinisi’s favorite verse is Hebrews 4:14-16, “Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”  She hopes that RCS is a place where students dream big because they have encountered a big God. She hopes they find what they are passionate about as they see the passion of their teachers and have the opportunity to explore different things.

Miss Sinisi shares, “It is an honor to be selected as the next Redwood Christian Elementary principal.  I do not take this step lightly, as I know that this role has such a great impact on our students and their families. Mr. Huemoeller cared for our RCE community so well and I have learned a lot from him these last four years. My heart’s desire is to lead with authenticity and love for the best interest of our students and their development. I am trusting God to equip me as He has called me to this place!”

Former elementary principal, Mr. Dale Huemoeller will transition to the RCS Director of Athletics.  After seven years serving as elementary principal (a total of 20 years in administration at RCS), he returns to his “roots” in athletics.  He is looking forward to continuing the Athletic Department tradition of not only fielding competitive teams of scholar athletes but also and more importantly challenging student athletes to be growing in Christ.
