Devotional Thought:
Psalm 63:1 is an earnest appeal to God, a cry of worship, an acknowledgment of the greatness of God: “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” David is not addressing just any old god, he is addressing the one and only God, the God who created heaven and earth, the God who has and will continue to care for David. David enjoyed a close, personal relationship with God, one in which he could say, “you are my God.”. David earnestly sought after God and he knew that God would provide for the thirst in his soul and flesh. Ultimately, as Christians today, we know that Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is the living water (John 4:10) that will sustain us, when we seek after Him.

“Fabulous Five” As Reported By RCS Teachers:
I have asked each teacher to let me know the most fabulous thing that happened at RCS in the last week. On Tuesday mornings, Mr. Huemoeller, Mr. Warner, and I go through them and pick the “Fabulous Five” to share with parents.
- Miss Sierra reports: We had fun experiencing impulse by catching eggs from greater distances in our Work and Impulse lab. Click Here
- Mrs. Marcus reports: We are training our brains to add by making a 10! It’s neat to see how excited they get when they learn they can add without counting on!
- Mrs. Bibby reports: It was so exciting to see about 70 friends and family members come out and support our MS girls’ softball game on Saturday.
- Miss Sierra reports: We did the impulse lab, crashing different kinds of balls to see how far they will go = momentum! Click Here
- Mr. Summers reports: Recently I had one of the best activities in my Bible class for increasing students’ understanding. Students wrote stories in which a character had some kind of difficult problem. Then they had to introduce themselves (the author) into the story to solve the problem after convincing the characters of their special abilities. This activity brought a better understanding of the incarnation than I’d previously seen.
