Senior king nominees: Daniel (Danny) Barquero, Xavier Cherry, and Trey Gallarzan

The RCHS Digital Marketing class caught up with most of our nominees the day before finals or over email to learn more about our nominees, especially their favorite Christmas traditions.  Special time with family, activities at home, and delicious food were all mentioned, and more details are below.

What are your plans over Christmas Break?

Julianna (9th) is looking forward to hanging out with her brother, Andy, who will be home from the Marines.

Jilli (10th) will be staying home because her brother, Jono, will be back from his first semester at college and they will also have family visiting.

Olivia (12th) will be listening to as much Christmas music as possible and eating lots of Christmas cookies. But I’m mostly excited to spend time with family and friends. Watching Hallmark movies and enjoying each other’s company.

Xavier (12th) will be going to Bear Valley to go snowboarding.

Does your family have any special Christmas traditions?

Pilar (9th) opens Christmas presents at 12:00 am on the 25th.

Alaina (10th): going caroling in San Francisco and driving around to see Christmas lights.

Netanya’s (11th) family celebrates Christmas on the 24th and has Mexican soup, Pozole.

Rayah (11th) enjoys sleeping by the Christmas tree with her cousins.

Hannah (12th) has a special Christmas eve breakfast with Swedish pancakes

Danny (12th) loves to decorate the house together and read, “The Night Before Christmas.”
