The fourth Core Value that saturates the education our students receive at Redwood Christian Schools is to generate a SPIRIT OF PATRIOTISM by teaching:

  1. Loyalty to our country and a recognition of unscriptural teachings which undermine our country’s foundations.
    (I Peter 2:13-17)
  2. Recognition of government as God-ordained. (Romans 13:1)
  3. The need to become involved citizens of this nation for the Lord’s sake. (Acts 13:36a)

RCS “practices what we preach” as Assistant Superintendent of Instruction and Middle School/High School Principal Al Hearne visited Washington, D.C., September 14-16, 2015. He was representing the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Redwood Christian Schools. Mr. Hearne described the three-day trip as very productive and “a great reminder of why Christians need to stay involved and make an impact on policy at all levels of government: local, statewide and nationally.” In addition to meeting representatives of Senators Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer and Representative Eric Swalwell, there were briefing sessions with various leaders in education, both public and private.

We hope that Mr. Hearne’s efforts will prove to be productive for Christian schools throughout our country, including Redwood Christian Schools.

Have a great week…

Bruce D. Johnson, Superintendent
Redwood Christian Schools
