Devotional Thought:

The key to Psalm 18:1, “I love you, O Lord, my strength” is not that we love God for making us strong, but rather that we love God who is the totality of our strength. Our frailness, our weak humanity, our sinfulness, these are all major characteristics of what constitutes our lives. But our hope and love is not in ourselves, it is in Jesus Christ who is our strength when we are naturally frail, who gives us the power of His Spirit and removes our sins through the grace of
Jesus. Our love for God permeates our hearts because God IS our strength.

A Special Message From Superintendent Hearne Regarding The RCS Bus Service

RCS is blessed to have dedicated bus drivers who are committed to student safety and  education. This year our bus drivers have noticed an increase of traffic which has made it difficult for the morning bus route to arrive at the MSHS on time. Student safety is one of our primary concerns and rather than rushing to get to the MSHS on time, our bus drivers have asked to move the pickup times for the morning route.

Based upon their calculations, beginning on January 3, 2017, we will be moving the pickup time back by 10 minutes. The RCS bus will leave Redwood Chapel at 7:10am and the 3 Crosses bus at 7:20.

In Christ,
Al Hearne II, M.Div, M. Ed.

“Fabulous Five” As Reported By RCS Teachers:

  1. Mrs. Bibby reported: To wrap up our unit on Elements, students played Period Table Battleship. I thought it was the coolest thing ever to see them working together and having fun. Click Here
  2. Mrs. Phillips reported: Today was fun as we reviewed for our Spanish Final. We played charades using our Spanish vocabulary from the whole semester. The students had to be creative in how to act out their Spanish vocab. It was great class participation!
  3. Mr. Blatchford reported: Biology students have critically analyzed their views on how life started and presented arguments for why they think their view is the best option.
  4. Mr. Cagle reported: What a fabulous week I had directing my music students in three fantastic performances!! The first was the all-school Christmas concert, the second was the high school chapel on Wednesday, and the third was the elementary school chapel on Friday. I was so proud of the musical skills that all the students displayed in these presentations to glorify God through song. Great job music students!!!!
    5. Mr. Gillette reported: Five members of the Middle School’s Leadership class practiced servantleadership by helping to clean up Cull Canyon Park on Saturday.

Matthew 6:9-13 – The Lord’s Prayer
“9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
