Devotional Thought:
Psalm 63:1, “O God, You are my God; I shall seek You earnestly; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and weary land where there is no water.” Can you say that the Almighty God is your God? You can if you belong to Him. How do you know that you belong to Him? Because your soul thirsts for Him, “like a deer pants for water” (Psalm 42:1). We live in a morally dry and corrupt culture, where all the price tags have been  witched. What gives the world pleasure is emptiness and dryness to a child of God. What our culture craves for, we find offensive to a holy God. The world cannot love God. We love God because He first loved us (I John 4:29). We know that we love Him because our soul  thirsts for Him. We cherish being alone with Him. We enjoy His Word. We try to find ways to serve Him. We quickly repent when we sin. Are you a child of God?

Eternally His, Ed Hubbard

“Fabulous Five” As Reported By RCS Teachers:

I have asked each teacher to let me know the most fabulous thing that happened at RCS in the last week. On Tuesday mornings, Mr. Huemoeller, Mr. Warner, and I go through them and pick the “Fabulous Five” to share with parents.

  1.  Mrs. Francis reports: Last week we did a STEM project. The students built a bridge using only index cards. We stacked books on each bridge to see which was the strongest. We were able to stack over 60 paperback chapter books on one of the bridges without it collapsing!
  2. Mrs. Conley reports: In Math 2/3 C students were learning about measuring capacity using cups, pints, quarts, and gallons using rice. It was fun and messy! Click Here
  3. Mrs. Neal reports: The fifth graders did a great job setting up tents for us as we practiced what we would do if there was a major disaster while we were at school. Click Here
  4. Mr. Russell reports: The Economics class has been doing great work in understanding the ins and-outs of how to buy a home and the costs associated with owning a home.
  5. Mr. Sanchez reports: Hannah John came in first place in our last two cross country meets. She was competing against six grade girls from over ten different public and private schools. Click Here
