Devotional Thought:

Psalm 63:1 says, “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.” God alone is the one that can bring satisfaction, fulfillment and peace in “a land that is dry, desolate and without water.” The Psalmist reminds us that true fulfillment comes from seeking after
God with all of our strength. The following verses of Psalm 63 give us steps to follow in seeking after God. 1. Gaze in wonder at the strength and glory of God 2. Praise Him with our lips for His loving kindness 3. Rejoice in the Lord’s protection over us 4. Meditate day and night on His marvelous works.

A Special Message From Superintendent Hearne Regarding The RCS Bus Service

RCS is blessed to have dedicated bus drivers who are committed to student safety and  education. This year our bus drivers have noticed an increase of traffic which has made it difficult for the morning bus route to arrive at the MSHS on time. Student safety is one of our primary concerns and rather than rushing to get to the MSHS on time, our bus drivers have asked to move the pickup times for the morning route.

Based upon their calculations, beginning on January 3, 2017, we will be moving the pickup time back by 10 minutes. The RCS bus will leave Redwood Chapel at 7:10am and the 3 Crosses bus at 7:20.

In Christ,
Al Hearne II, M.Div, M. Ed.

“Fabulous Five” As Reported By RCS Teachers:

  1. Miss Orluck reported on 11/15: On a recent Bible test, students had to write a sentence telling what they would do to help a friend to know about God. Students
said that they could invite a friend to church, give them a Bible, read Bible verses to them, or invite them to Awana.
  2. Mrs. Sommers reported on 11/14: Third grade students worked in groups to help each other better understand using bar models and word problems.
  3. Mrs. Hendren reported on 11/7: Algebra 2/Trig students came up with multiple ways to evaluate the volume in the Camden Waterfront Adventure Aquarium’s “Shark Reef” and “Open Ocean” tanks. They also compared/contrasted these New Jersey Aquariums to our aquariums.
  4. Mrs. Borgerson reported on 9/16: Kindergarten through 3rd graders learned about ten specific musical instruments. We had a lot of fun reading the book Zin! Zin! Zin!
  5. Mrs. Neal reported on 9/9: The 5th graders in both classes really understood how important it is to be thankful for those who serve and protect us and to be respectful of our country.

Matthew 6:9-13 – The Lord’s Prayer
“9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
