Devotional Thought:

Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” I am sometimes caught off guard by how easy it is to be conformed to this world. Our culture constantly promotes striving for things and defines
achievement by what you have or where you live or maybe even by good deeds. So many things are pulling for our Attention. If we do not discipline ourselves (our minds) to be in God’s Word regularly, we may easily be sucked in to the pattern of this world. However, God transforms us as we keep our eyes on Him and meditate on His truth. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hid your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Let us encourage each other to constantly renew our minds through reading His Word, meditating on it, and memorizing it, so we are living for eternity rather than this temporary place.

  4. Mrs. Marcus reports, “We lead chapel on the topic of Salt and Light, sharing a video of Matthew 5:13-16, and the Judah’s family performed a song for
everyone! The Holy Spirit was moving!” Click Here
  5. Mr. Cagle reports, “With the approaching of difficult music to learn for Musicale, I am so impressed with the hard work the high school choir students are doing in
preparation of these songs. Some of the music is college level repertoire, and they are doing their best to “tackle” them. They have eight songs to learn! It is a challenge for them, but they are taking the challenge ‘in stride. Great work so far!”

Matthew 6:9-13 – The Lord’s Prayer
“9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
