Devotional Thought:

“Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law” (Romans 13:10). “Do no harm.” This is the oath taken by all physicians. We place our trust in the medical profession. Doctors and nurses are highly trained professionals who have pledged to have our best interests in mind at all times. I recently read of a man who said that his wife spoke three words at their wedding that shot straight to his soul. Words he never forgot. Words that inspired him every day as a husband, a father and an employee. While they stood facing the minister, she turned to him and whispered, “I’m trusting you.” What she meant was, “I’m marrying you because I know that you love me. “Our neighbors are people outside of our family who need us. If we love them, they can trust us. They know that we have their best interests in mind. We don’t need ten commandments, only two: Love God and love your neighbor as yourself. (Mark 12:30-31).
