Devotional Thought:

Christian Education is so critical to the renewal of a child’s mind. Notice the Scriptures say that when we are transformed by the renewal of our minds, we will then be able to discern God’s will. A non-Christian education cannot provide this knowledge because the basis of all truth and all knowledge comes directly from God and His Word.
Without a Christian education, the foundations of understanding, a transformed mind, and a growing discernment of God’s will are hindered. We give thanks to our mighty God for allowing Redwood Christian Schools to continue the mission of transforming minds to Scriptural truths and preparing students for life now and everlasting.

“Fabulous Five” As Reported By RCS Teachers:

  1. Mrs. Sommers reports “This past week the 3rd grade reading story was about money. We learned about the symbols on the one dollar bills. Students enjoyed looking closely at different bills.” Click Here
  2. Mrs. Bicker reports, “My kindergarten students are starting to read the Victory Drill Book – there is a lot of excitement in the air!”
  3. Mr. Wilcox reports, “Students had a great time learning different ways to count very large numbers (such as how many atoms are in 6.022 x 10.23).” Click Here
  4. Miss Masin reports “At Bible, kindergartners were introduced to Venndiagrams by comparing two babies we have been studying: Moses and Jesus. Students were able to compare and contrast the two babies in ways that surprised and delighted the teacher!”
  5. Mrs. Clausen reports “My AP Calculus students remind me weekly of God’s beauty in math. This week we’ve been studying the 2nd Fundamental Theorem, but Peter (WaiKit) Chu was not satisfied with the idea. So, he spent two days on the whiteboard proving to himself why this theorem works. Peter blessed the 3rd period class with his curiosity and I was beautifully reminded of the reliability of math.” Click Here

Matthew 6:9-13 – The Lord’s Prayer
“9 Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
