Fabulous Learning

Mrs. Bibby’s students in science classes researched ocean animals. To present their findings they had to organize, adapt, and creatively communicate information in a flipbook.

For Mrs. Francis’ STEM project last week, students planned a camping trip. Their first task was to plan breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two days of camping. Then students had to “buy” the food, as well as all of their camping supplies for two people, with a budget of $500.

Miss Sierra’s physics students hit the pavement. Students had to search the campus to find pictures of the characteristics of light, such as shadow, translucent, virtual, concave, etc.

Third graders had a great experience attending Rowell Ranch Agricultural Day! We learned how to milk a cow, and about the products made from cow’s milk. We learned about bees, plants, farm to table food, how to spin wool into yarn, and we practiced roping a steer. Many of our third graders helped to load bales of hay onto the hay truck and then they unloaded the bales of hay. At the end of the day we were tired and happy.
