Devotional Thought:
As today’s social climate continues to get more and more complicated, the complexity and diversity of societal problems run even deeper. One might say that the solution can be found in this one small verse. Psalm 27:8 “You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, LORD, do I seek.”” As we continue to look at our own problems and the problems of others, we fail to look to God. Seeking God, indeed seeking His face and doing so with all our heart, we would have no choice but to see the world with a less combative mindset. My prayer is for everyone to spend less time seeking fame, fortune and all other worldly things and spend our time earnestly seeking God’s face.
Strong and Courageous for the Lord, Dale S. Huemoeller RCE Principal

“Fabulous Five” As Reported By RCS Teachers:
I have asked each teacher to let me know the most fabulous thing that happened at RCS in the last week. On Tuesday mornings, Mr. Huemoeller, Mr. Warner, and I go through them and pick the “Fabulous Five” to share with parents.
- Mrs. Neal reports: My 5th graders dressed up for Age of Exploration oral reports and did a great job! Click Here
- Mr. Russell reports: Mrs. Sommers had a great birthday presentation for one of her students who was turning 9. She had the student come up in front of
the class and answer questions about her birthday and her life. She even got a
birthday pencil! It was so great to see the connection Mrs. Sommers has with her
class. - Mr. Hinton reports: We had a great turnout for the Boys Varsity soccer Alumni game, in a very good match the Varsity team won 2-1!
- Mrs. Suth reports: AP Literature students wrote their own versions of epic hero poems, and they were worthy of publishing!
- Mr. Gillette reports: 44 Redwood 6th graders adventured to Mount Gilead for four days of Outdoor Ed led by two excellent instructors from Genesis
