Redwood Christian High School Victorious in Rancho Cordova Easter Baseball Tournament

Coach Jim Cleveland’s Eagles went 3-1 in the 48th Annual Rancho Cordova Easter Baseball Tournament and won the championship game with a 9-1 victory over Bear River High School on March 28.  Bear River HS had defeated RCHS on the first day of the tournament 9-7.

The championship game was tight until RCHS scored five runs in the third inning.  The winning pitcher was Alex Williams, who allowed 1 run through 6 innings with 10 strikeouts, allowing 1 walk and 5 hits.  Williams was also 2-for-3 with a double.  Matt Dzoan and Myles McElroy also tripled in the championship game.
