Week 8: Creative Builders Camp
Grades: Entering 1st – 6th Grade
Dates: Monday, July 15 – Friday, July 19
Time: 9am-12pm
Cost: $150
In addition to being a veteran rec basketball coach, Coach Patrick Lee has worked with youth for over 20 years including roles as a children’s pastor, overseer of children and student ministries, director with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), teacher, and, of course, parent (of three boys). His goal is to provide students opportunities to learn life-lessons outside the traditional classroom context.
Joining Coach Lee will be RCS teachers and staff who will share their special talents and expertise during the week.
What to Expect From This Camp
Everyone loves Lego’s (except when you step on one)! Kids are naturally gifted creators. See what happens when they get instruction and inspiration from our instructors! While they build objects, structures, and vehicles, they will also experiment with different materials to see what works best. In this camp, we will learn to create and collaborate without the fear of making mistakes while exploring the fundamentals of engineering and physics.
