What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?

I teach 3rd grade.

What do you love about Redwood Christian Schools?

I enjoy Redwood Christian School for many reasons. My three boys received an excellent education which prepared them well for college and life. I enjoy working with the faculty and staff because I have developed deep and meaningful friendships. My students and their families have a special place in my heart.

Why do you like teaching at RCS?

I was blessed to be able to do my student teaching at Redwood Christian School. While student teaching here, I knew this was the only place I wanted to teach.

What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to shape the overall experience of students at RCS?

Traveling the world, while my husband was in the military, has broadened my perspective on geography, different cultures and a love for people which is fun to bring to the classroom. Teaching hospitality and manners to third graders is rewarding and enjoyable.

What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?

The students are learning daily how to live out their Christian lives. We can talk about God’s Word and pray together throughout the day. They are learning to solve problems and live life in a godly way.

The RCS tagline is “the education you TRUST for the children you LOVE.” How do you accomplish this in your role at RCS?

Each child is special, unique, and a gift from God. It is my privilege and joy to teach my students each day through the power of the Holy Spirit.

What do you want students to gain from having known you?

Most importantly, I want the children to love the Lord with all their heart, mind, and soul, and to understand that He will never leave them. He loves them so very much and only wants the best for them.

What is your favorite verse?

Psalm 46:10a “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
