What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?

I teach 2nd/3rd grade AAP.

What do you love about Redwood Christian Schools?

I love that at RCS I can minister to the needs of the whole child – educational, emotional, physica,l and spiritual.

Why do you like teaching at RCS?

Being an RCS alumni teaching at Redwood feels like being at home. I came to Redwood after teaching at a non-religious private school where I was unable to reach deeply into the lives of my students as their spiritual lives were off limits. I consider myself a missionary to my own culture.

What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to shape the overall experience of students at RCS?

I’m a creative person. I enjoy singing, crafting and cheering for the Oakland A’s.

What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?

What sets RCS students from others is that their families have chosen to send them here. This makes it easy to work together as a team with parents in training their children in the ways of the Lord.

The RCS tagline is “the education you TRUST for the children you LOVE.” How do you accomplish this in your role at RCS?

To accomplish trust, it takes a partnership. I work hard to create relationships with parents so that we are a team.

What do you want students to gain from having known you?

I want my students to understand who they are in Jesus and how He’s created them to be unique. They each are gifted in many ways and God wants them to use their gifts and talents to glorify Him, spread His message of love, and be a positive influence in to world.

What is your favorite verse?

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
