What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?

I teach elementary physical education.

What do you love about your role(s) at RCS?

Redwood Christian Schools has an amazing community built upon a foundation of caring teachers, faculty, and students. It was always a safe place for me throughout my time as a student, and is one that I will work to maintain for current and future students.

What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?

RCS students are given a well-rounded education that extends from the classroom and gives students other skills such as a great work-ethic and teamwork.

How do you inspire your students?

I equip students for daily living and eternal life by helping to teach students how to encounter a problem, work through the problem, and feel the success of having conquered the problem. This is applicable to all areas of life, not only PE.

What do you want your students to gain from having known you?

I want students to gain an excitement for physical activity, and beyond that I want students to be able to see how much they have grown throughout the year and let that propel themselves into their futures.

What is your favorite verse?

2 Timothy 1:7 “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
