What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?

I teach Mandarin I and II, 11th grade US History, and 9th grade World History. I am also the Director of RCS Global Housing, and an Executive Council Advisor.

What do you love about your role(s) at RCS?

I love RCS because God is at the center of our lives. Students learn that our worldview is rooted in Christ.

What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?

RCS students are taught the truths in the Bible daily, the student leaders are believers, and the administrators use Biblical disciplinary strategies.

How do you inspire your students?

Knowing that the students we see daily are the future of the world, I want them to be knowledgeable and creative leaders.

What do you want your students to gain from having known you?

I want the students to be able to learn from history in order to solve future issues. They will need to be able to communicate with others and respect their cultures.

What is your favorite verse?

Romans 8:28 “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” It is comforting to know that God is taking care of all things.
