A Redwood Christian Schools alumnus is now serving as the head of business and operations at RCS. Meghan Costanzo (class of 2011) was appointed by the Redwood Christian Schools Board of Directors to fill the post of Business Manager after the retirement of Ed Hubbard at the end of the last academic year. Hubbard had served as the RCS Business Manager for the past 40 years.
“He leaves big shoes to fill,” shares Costanzo. She spent a full year in Hubbard’s tutelage, working side by side with him to learn how business is managed at RCS. Using the knowledge he passed along and her prior experience in healthcare operations, she shares that she is looking forward to continuing the legacy of good stewardship that has made RCS a strong business and an excellent school.
Hubbard, who was the school’s second Business Manager, shares, “Any business requires a strong financial foundation and the highest integrity where money is involved. It is a joy for me to have joined with others in the Redwood Christian District Office and our campuses to focus on the financial end of the school in a manner worthy of a Believer (in Christ).”
Redwood Christian Schools is entering its 49th year of operation and has more than 700 students registered for the fall. The school is expecting a pivotal year with a newly constructed gymnasium to be opening this winter. The school has over 100 employees from faculty, staff and administration.
Costanzo brings experience from roles both with students and in business operations including serving as an instructional aide at Redwood Christian Elementary and as an accounts receivable coordinator in a healthcare office.
“My husband Nick and I are both alumni. We attended Redwood for the majority of our lives, but it was not until we left Redwood that we truly understood the gift that we were given by our parents to attend RCS. We are both very much excited for what God has planned for our future at RCS. I can promise that I will do as those before me, in keeping the integrity and good standing of the school’s finances.”
Redwood Christian Schools is a private, non-denominational Christian school in the San Francisco Bay Area. The school is accepting applications for the 2018-19 school year. For more information on enrollment, contact Brittany Spade at BrittanySpade@rcs.edu.
