Lyn (Hamilton) Smith (Class of 1980)
Lyn has been married to Stanton, a forensic engineer, for thirty-two years. They have three children: sons Austin (27) and Avery (20), and daughter Juliette (23).
In the last few years, she co-wrote “Think 4:8 – 40 Days to a Joy-filled Life for Teens” with best-selling author Tommy Newberry, and “Word – Psalm 119: a study in 22 Meditations.” As an author Lyn served churches around the country teaching Bible studies and speaking at events. During that time, God gave her a strong desire to know His Word in a deeper way, so she went back to school, and graduated this August 2016, from Southern California Seminary with a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (MABS). Within weeks of graduating, God opened up a new door of opportunity. Lyn is the Director of a brand new pregnancy center in Edmond, Oklahoma, whose doors open to clients on December 5, 2016.
Lyn remains a committed Christ follower , who believes it is absolutely the best way to live. She wrote to Superintendent Emeritus Johnson: “Whether I’m writing, teaching, speaking, or walking with clients through unplanned pregnancies, it’s all about Jesus. What a privilege it is to know Him and make Him known!”
