Mr. Hearne’s Recommended Resources:
We want for all of our students at RCS to develop the necessary skills to become leaders in the spheres of influence that God is calling them into. We want to be able to help them develop the skills necessary to become Christian leaders in a secular world. My first recommended resource, “15 Tips for Instilling Leadership Skills in Children” talks about what parents can do to instill leadership skills in their children. My second recommended resource, “The One Thing That’s More Important Than Your Reputation” explains the difference between one’s character and reputation, and the understanding necessary for up-and-coming leaders. As always, the third is the “Axis Cultural Translator” to keep you up-to-date on what is currently happening in our culture, especially regarding teen anxiety, depression, and suicide.

Fabulous Learning
Learning Comes Alive: This week, 5th graders loved using their
iPads. 5W researched American Indian tribal regions, customs,
tools, and more. 5N read news articles and answered questions
about them each week. -Mrs. Wilson CLICK HERE
Rolling the Dice: This week, the 1st grade students had fun
collaborating. They added numbers rolled on dice by counting from
the largest number, and then effectively communicated their results
with a Dot Cube Graph. –Ms. Orluck CLICK HERE
3V Goes 3D: This week, 3V made California maps using salt-andflour
dough. Next week we will paint the maps for the four different
regions. –Mrs. Vanegas CLICK HERE
Visualize Narnia: The students in my 8th grade English class
showed great critical thinking skills as they created original,
symbolic book covers for The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
