What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?
I am the Kindergarten and First Grades Science teacher. I am also the Pull-Out Kindergarten and Pull-Out First Grade teacher.
What do you love about Redwood Christian Schools?
What I love about our school is that it provides a Christ-centered education taught by loving and dedicated teachers. The school also provides a safe environment where the love of Christ is taught and modeled to all the students.
Why do you like teaching at RCS?
I like teaching at RCS because I want to be a part of training the students not only academically but spiritually. I like serving Christ alongside teachers, staff, and administrators with the same purpose. Our purpose to share Christ to all students.
What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to shape the overall experience of students at RCS?
I have a different cultural background with unique experiences working with displaced people. Working in the refugee camp in the past developed my teaching ability to work with students who have different learning styles. I also have an interest in interior design. I bring my style and creativity in my classroom to provide students with a comfortable, inviting, and nice place to learn.
What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?
RCS students work towards high academic standards, always excited to learn new things, work hard to develop Godly characters, and have a ready heart to learn about God.
The RCS tagline is “the education you TRUST for the children you LOVE.” How do you accomplish this in your role at RCS?
As a school RCS recognizes the learning differences and uniqueness of all the students. Having that knowledge, my role is to provide a safe place to teach students who need intervention to avoid bigger gaps in their academic learning. I also provide academic enrichment for students who want to be challenged.
What do you want students to gain from having known you?
I want them to know the love of Christ, that God has a beautiful plan for their lives, and they are unique and special to God.
What is your favorite verse?
Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
