Eleven RCS Middle School and two HS Band Members did a fantastic job at this year’s ACSI MS Honor Band Festival in Ripon, CA last Friday. Mr. Mark Cagle, RCS Band and Department Head, was invited to be the guest conductor. His students, joined by 50 additional students who travelled to the festival from 10 schools, behaved admirably and played terrifically! The RCS students involved were: Matthew Chock (percussion), Alton Kwong (flute–1st Chair), Jordin McBride (clarinet), Kristin Pak (flute), Timothy Pak (trumpet), Joshua Prelipceanu (trumpet–1st Chair), Sara Ryan (trumpet), Eva Saganish (oboe), Justina Sterling (flute), Jeremiah Tambunan (clarinet), Gideon Warneke (percussion), and two high school band members who attended to assist: Sophia Nicolas (french horn), and A’Kaia Phelps (clarinet). What a fantastic honor! Congratulations to Mr. Cagle and his students.
