Meet Miss Fortier, Masters of Teaching Intern
Submitted by Alyssa Kiefer in RCS Highlights on October 25, 2018
If you’ve been in Mrs. Francis’ 5th grade classroom, you have seen Miss Fortier planning, interacting with students, and even teaching occasional lessons. Miss Fortier is a Masters student at William Jessup University and is working to earn a Masters in Teaching with a California State Teaching Credential. Her hope is to become a full-time elementary teacher. As part of her program, she is being observed by Mrs. Francis while preparing and teaching Bible and math lessons. She shares that while she is open to God’s leading, she has a heart to potentially open a nonprofit school for teenage moms in order to provide both childcare for the moms to attend classes and the ability for them to earn a high school diploma rather than a GED. We are so happy to have Miss Fortier on North Campus with us! If you see her, stop by and say hello!
