Mr. Hearne’s Recommended Resources:
I hope that today’s first two recommended resources serve as educational reading for RCS parents and as appropriate discussion guides between parents and students regarding the harmful effects of smoking anything. In addition, to date, we do not know about JUULing taking place on campus. What is JUULing, you might ask? JUULing is a new type of e-cigarette that is supposed to help someone stop smoking. It has become a very popular social media topic, with many teenagers around the United States posting pictures of them JUULing. The first article, “Everything You Need to Know About The JUUL, Including The Health Effects” goes into detail about the JUUL, including many pictures of how a JUUL can look like a USB flash drive. The second article, ” ‘Juuling’: The most widespread phenomenon you’ve never heard of ” explains how the JUUL has suddenly become so popular among students in the United States. As always, the third resource is the Axis “Cultural Translator.”
