Dr. Hearne Elected President of Christian Charities USA

On April 26, 2021, Superintendent Hearne was elected Board President of Christian Charities USA (CCUSA).  Dr. Hearne was first elected to the CCUSA Board in 2018 and previously served as Board Secretary.

The organization is a diverse group of national and international charities working together to relieve sufferings and despair by bringing food, clothing, shelter, medicine, education, and Christian compassion to people in need.   Member organizations include Habitat for Humanity, World Impact, Youth for Christ International, Catholic Charities USA and Away with Human Trafficking and Sex Slavery.  CCUSA member charities are dedicated to work in every area of our country and the world to ease the suffering of people who could use a helping hand: physically, mentally, and spiritually.

“Being elected President of Christian Charities USA carries tremendous responsibility locally, nationally and internationally,” stated Bruce Johnson, RCS Superintendent Emeritus, “His passion to serve others and commitment to doing everything with excellence is recognized by everyone he serves.”

Dr. Hearne, Board Treasurer for the Castro Valley/Eden Area Chamber of Commerce, also serves as Chair for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) California/Hawaii Regional Accreditation Commission for Northern California/Hawaii

He lives in Castro Valley with his wife Megan and their sons, and is in his 19th year at Redwood Christian Schools, where he has been serving as Superintendent since 2016.
