What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?
I teach 5th grade.
What do you love about your role(s) at RCS?
I love the feeling of family in the diverse community at Redwood Christian. We support each other as faculty, as parents, and as sisters and brothers in Christ.
What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?
What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools is the support they have from the RCS faculty and administration. With the freedom the faculty and administration has to address and teach the whole child (academic, spiritual, artistic and physical), students are given the opportunity to grow and thrive in ways they couldn’t in other schools.
The RCS tagline is “Inspiring Futures”. How do you accomplish this in your role(s) at RCS?
I hope to inspire my students in their understanding of and abilities to read and write. My desire is to inspire them to be lifelong readers and writers no matter where God takes them in their lives.
What do you want students to gain from having known you?
I pray that my students will leave my classroom knowing first and foremost that they are loved — that they are secure in the knowledge of God’s love for them as well as knowing that I love them.
What is your favorite verse?
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”
