What is your role at Redwood Christian Schools?
I am the MSHS Assistant Principal, Boy’s Dean, Director of the RCS Academic Assistance Program (AAP), and I teach middle school classes.
What do you love about Redwood Christian Schools?
This is a place where the Gospel of Jesus Christ can be at the center of everything we do.
What motivated you to serve at Redwood Christian?
While in college I was asked to coach sports teams at RCS and from there I began to see that my calling was in Christian Education because of my love for the Gospel and students.
What do you feel is the significance of your role at RCS?
From the education and experiences that I have acquired over the years I am suited to work with families and students in the role of leadership for both positions, and to still teach in the classroom.
What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to shape the overall experience of students at RCS?
I love to take the things that are either hard to understand or learn and break them down into more understandable and achievable parts.
What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?
The uncommon ability to take on challenges and dutifully complete tasks with joy.
The RCS tagline is “the education you TRUST for the children you LOVE.” How do you accomplish this in your role at RCS?
I try to remember that each child at RCS needs to be equipped for the role that God has for him or her to do now and in the future.
What do you want students to gain from having known you?
I pray that students will have gained a confidence in God’s promises through the faithfulness of my work and prayers for them.
What is your favorite verse?
Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
