Description

This camp provides a hands-on, creative experience where young students learn to mold, sculpt, and glaze clay to create functional and/or artistic pieces.  Campers will also learn to mold, shape, and decorate clay; developing their fine motor skills, patience, and artistic expression. Using the "clean-as-you-go" philosophy, students will not just play with clay; they will engage in professional-grade tool safety and studio etiquette.

Teacher Bio

Jumoke Jones ("Jojo") is an experienced instructor with over six years of dedicated K-8 classroom experience, specializing in teaching "The Art of Making"; bridging the gap between structural engineering, woodcrafting, cooking and pottery.  Her unique background in high-stakes culinary operations and professional chef training brings a high level of discipline and organization to this camp.
