What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?
I teach Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, AP Macro/Micro Economics, and serve as the Math Department Chair and a Senior Class Advisor.
What do you love about Redwood Christian Schools?
I love the students at RCS.
Why do you like teaching at RCS?
I like teaching because of the beauty found in math. It is is not by chance, but by divine design. My motivation is to inspire students to experience the language God used to write the universe.
What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to shape the overall experience of students at RCS?
For about six years I worked for Macy’s. It was in this career that my love for numbers was confirmed. Analyzing the numbers helped direct future purchases and trends; keeping the department profitable. Numbers say a lot and when used properly give insight into solidifying the best options and choices.
What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?
RCS students genuinely want to better themselves and bring others along with them too.
The RCS tagline is “the education you TRUST for the children you LOVE.” How do you accomplish this in your role at RCS?
I trust my students will Assume the best, Act their best and Do their best, letting God take care of the rest. It is a privilege to invest in their lives and share His truth.
What do you want students to gain from having known you?
Count the days and make the days count. Life is precious. God loves you perfectly and will never stop loving you. There is no place you will go where God will not be there with you. God uses all things and nothing is wasted in His economy.
What is your favorite verse?
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
