How did God call you into teaching, and/or what are your professional credentials (or prior work experience)?
I have always enjoyed being able to help others, and teaching is the perfect place for that. I grew up helping my parents in children's church and have always loved working with kids.
What motivated you to become a teacher at Redwood Christian?
I enjoy the opportunity to put my love for God in what I am teaching students in class.
Tell us about your family and how they are looking forward to this new opportunity.
My family is excited for this opportunity for me to teach at a Christian school.
What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
I always put my students first. Even more than teaching, I enjoy learning about my students in every way possible. From sports to video games, performances and siblings, learning about my students and creating those connections is my favorite part of the job.
Do you have any other hobbies/interests outside of teaching?
I enjoy playing music, I play guitar and other instruments. I enjoy watching and playing sports. I enjoy reading and watching movies with my family. I LOVE COOKING!
Our tagline is “Inspiring Futures.” How will a time you’ve been inspired shaped your teaching?
My family is filled with teachers, mostly pastors, but still teachers. Looking up to and watching my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, I have learned so many ways of engaging students to get the most out of everything we do in a classroom.
