How did God call you into teaching, and/or what are your professional credentials (or prior work experience)?
I’ve done a lot of work with kids, including Advanced Behavioral Analysis Therapy.
What motivated you to become a teacher at Redwood Christian?
I wanted to teach while on the way to becoming a an LMFT and wanted to increase my experience working in working for the Lord.
Tell us about your family and how they are looking forward to this new opportunity.
My father is the Middle School Principal, and my mother works for Redwood in multiple capacities, so they are excited that I will be working with them.
What is a unique experience, talent or interest that you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
My unique experience is that I am young and have a degree in psychology, two factors that will allow me to relate to the students and understand them in a way other teachers cannot. This gives me an advantage in catching their attention and presenting the material in a way that shows them its importance in their lives.
Do you have any other hobbies/interests outside of teaching?
I enjoy baking, reading, playing tennis, listening to music, and spending time with my family and friends, as well as my pet birds.
Our tagline is “Inspiring Futures.” How will a time you’ve been inspired shaped your teaching?
The trying times we live in, as well as my education, have inspired to be a trustworthy person as I relay information to students that is applicable to their futures and mine, lighting a fire in their hearts to become loving and resilient children of God.
