What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?

I teach geometry, physics, and statistics. I am also one of the 10th grade advisors. 

What do you love about your role(s) at RCS?

I love the way God’s love is practiced at all levels: admin-teachers, teachers-students, students-students. From these roots, we can all spur each other to accomplish more and at a higher level.

What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?

Their drive to achieve because of the environment and opportunities. Students more often encourage each other to do the right thing and to be positive. This leads to a positive community that we all enjoy.

How do you inspire your students?

I love inspiring students’ futures by giving them a love of math and science. There are so many wonders on this planet, and by using math and science we can begin to glimpse the complexity and love God had for us to make each of us and his creations so meticulously! 

What do you want your students to gain from having known you?

That consistency and fairness do not always mean treating people the same. Because of this, I use wisdom and prayer to practice it each day. When we are consistent, we build reputations that attest to who God is within us.

What is your favorite verse?

Philippians 3:16 “Only let us hold true to what we have attained.” 

This verse helps me stay focused and remember that practicing what we know can be inspiring for others!
