What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?
I teach 12th grade English and AP Literature. I am also the College Guidance Counselor.
What do you love about your role(s) at RCS?
I love that the name of Jesus Christ is preeminent in all of the components of an RCS education.
What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?
RCS students are challenged every day to choose a better way of living, a way that serves others, brings joy, and pleases their God.
How do you inspire your students?
Through literature, I would hope that my students see that there are many ways to live a full and abundant life. Their future is in the hands of God, and can only be truly abundant as they walk with Him through all of the aspects of their lives.
What do you want your students to gain from having known you?
I would hope that they have learned to question sources and purposes, and to seek for deeper meaning in the ideas they encounter.
What is your favorite verse?
John 3:19-21 “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
