What is/are your role(s) at Redwood Christian Schools?

I am currently serving as elementary music teacher for TK-3rd grade classes and I am choir director for RCE Royal Choir (3rd-5th graders).

What do you love about your role(s) at RCS?

I love having a school that is committed to an education with high academics in the framework of a Christ-centered worldview. I love being able to bring the area of music into that. I want to expose students to various types of music. In doing so, they’re challenged academically to growing their musical talents. It also helps them see how they can use music to worship and bring glory to God. 

What sets RCS students apart from students in other schools?

RCS students are trained to see each aspect of education through a Christian worldview. They are free to bring Christ and faith in God unto every area of their educational experience. 

How do you inspire your students?

It is my hope that the things I do in music class and choir are setting the foundation for future Christian musicians to minister for Christ in their homes, future schools, and churches. 

What do you want your students to gain from having known you?

I want my students to see Christ in me and I want them to experience the love of God in my classroom. I pray that through music they will see the creative side of following Christ and will know how to glorify God in everything they say, do, and sing.

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
