Redwood Christian Athletics Winter Season Highlights

From the Desk of the AD…

It has continued to be an exciting winter sports season for our athletics program, marked by growth, achievement, and momentum across all levels. Nearly all of our high school teams have qualified for league and NCS playoffs, and every middle school team qualified for and competed in BACSAL playoffs—an incredible accomplishment.

This year also brought meaningful program additions, including the inaugural Joe Hendren Invitational for girls basketball. We are also excited to announce the launch of a Middle School Wrestling Club led by Coach David Jagoda.

Athletics Highlights:

  • MS Girls Basketball finished 14–1, placed first in their division, and advanced to the league championship game.
  • MS Boys Basketball finished 14–1, placed first in their division, and finished third overall in the league tournament.
  • High school boys and girls basketball continue their push toward the NCS playoffs. The girls are currently tied for first in league play at 6–0, while the boys sit in second place.
  • BCL playoffs will be held February 11 and 13 at the California School for the Deaf. NCS playoff bids will be announced Sunday, February 15.
  • Girls soccer celebrated Senior Night with a dominant 5–0 win over St. Joseph Notre Dame.
  • Middle School Season #3 is underway; tryouts for boys volleyball and girls soccer are complete, with games beginning the week of January 26.
  • Elijah Simmons was named the San Francisco Chronicle Freshman Player of the Year for 2025.
  • Joel Miranda has received and accepted an offer to play at Simpson University in Redding.

We are grateful for our student-athletes, coaches, and families who continue to make this such a special and successful year for RCS Athletics.

Go Eagles!
