Academic Excellence Across All Grades: RCS MAP Growth Results Exceed National Averages
At Redwood Christian Schools, we care deeply about how students grow year by year, and our Fall 2025 MAP Growth results give us an encouraging snapshot of that progress. Across every grade level—from elementary through middle school and into high school—RCS students performed above national averages in Math, Reading, and Language Usage.
In the early grades, students show especially strong foundations, scoring 18–20 points higher in Reading and 9–19 points higher in Math than students nationwide; differences that often represent a full year or more of learning ahead.
As students move into middle school, they continue to stay ahead of national norms, remaining 6–9 points above average in Reading, 7–14 points above in Language Usage, and 3–9 points above in Math as coursework becomes more challenging and analytical.
In high school, this growth continues, with students scoring 9–11 points above national norms in Algebra, 8–9 points above in Reading, and 7–11 points above in writing and language skills, reflecting strong preparation for advanced classes and college-level expectations. A RIT point is simply the scale MAP uses to measure growth over time, and gaps of this size show consistent learning built year after year, not just short-term success.
These results reflect dedicated teachers, engaged students, and a school focus committed to helping every child grow academically. To find out more about our academics and how your student can be a part of Redwood Christian Schools, reach out to our admissions office.
