RCHS Senior Alexis-Marie Stoy Chosen Volunteer of the Year by Volunteer Hayward!

Alexis-Marie Stoy was chosen by Volunteer Hayward, because of her enthusiastic and hard-working attitude on Tuesday, October 8, at the 36th Annual Hayward Volunteer Recognition and Awards Dinner.

Alexis-Marie, a senior at Redwood Christian High School who lives in Castro Valley, “first came to Volunteer Hayward during the 2012 holiday season. She began helping with clerical items, but quickly expanded with her willingness to take an additional tasks. During her time volunteering with Volunteer Hayward, she was made an enormous impact on the community. She volunteered at the Hayward Senior Center, City of Hayward National Volunteer Week Celebrations, the Helping Hands event and the City of Hayward’s Community Engagement Open House. Alexis-Marie will be ending her volunteer work after the 2013-14 school year to attend college, but the staff at Volunteer Hayward, look forward to her growth academically and professionally.”

Alexis-Marie plays on Redwood’s tennis team, is the President of RCHS’ InterAct (Service) Club, and serves wherever is needed. She is also an excellent student with a 3.78 grade point average (out of 4.0).

Alexis-Marie’s Redwood Christian Schools family is so very proud of her as she took her ministry for Him out to the City of Hayward. We are so very proud of her.
