Hi, I wanted to share some exciting news with you, the Redwood Christian Schools Family.

On August 10, 2015 at the Redwood Christian Schools Annual Faculty-Staff-Board Breakfast, I enthusiastically announced that the Redwood Christian Schools Board of Directors has named Assistant Superintendent of Instruction/MSHS Principal Al Hearne as the School’s third superintendent in its forty-six year history.  I will be retiring after forty-two years serving at Redwood (the last thirty years as superintendent).  My retirement is effective June 30, 2016.  Mr. Gus Enderlin was the School’s Founding Superintendent (1970-86).

Our School is truly blessed to have Mr. Hearne on staff (he is in his fourteenth year at RCS) rather than having to look outside Redwood Christian as so many other ministries must do.  He shares our Board and School Founders’ love for God, heart for children and commitment to providing a Christ-centered education to every student attending RCS.  He is prepared and ready to assume the leadership of RCS effective July 1, 2016.

Mr. Hearne’s appointment leaves a void that will be filled by Mr. Ben Warner, a 1997 graduate of Redwood Christian High School, as he was named as the next Middle School and High School Principal.  A gifted communicator and educator, Mr. Warner will be the first graduate of Redwood Christian High School to become a senior administrator.  Mr. Warner is in his fourteenth year at Redwood and currently serves as Assistant MSHS Principal/Director of RCS Global.

When you see Mr. Hearne or Mr. Warner, please congratulate them.

Bruce D. Johnson, Superintendent
Redwood Christian Schools
