Devotional Thought:

Psalm 119:167 My soul keeps Your testimonies, And I love them exceedingly. How often have you obeyed a rule, but your heart was not in it? As the little boy told his teacher, “I may be sitting on the outside, but I’m standing on the inside.” His body was demonstrating obedience while his soul was in a state of rebellion. It’s tempting to equate conformity with conversion. Your child’s conduct never embarrasses you. You are proud of how well your child behaves and exhibits respect to everyone in authority. He or she must be a child of God! But we know better. The greatest evidence that we are redeemed is not the extent of our obedience but our extreme love for God, His Son Jesus and His Word. We obey God’s rules not despite our desires but because of our desires. We don’t study and memorize God’s Word only to get some insights for living, but because we exceedingly love the Author. Know your heart. Know your child’s heart.

Eternally His, Ed Hubbard, Business Manager

In anticipation for the end of this school year and in preparation for next year, we are announcing, “Late Start Wednesdays” (LSWs) for the elementary campus. LSWs are scheduled for the first Wednesday morning in September, October, November, February, and May. The purpose of LSWs is to allow our faculty to have a dedicated time for professional development and to work on grade-level curriculum. On LSWs you can drop your child(ren) off at 9:45am. Or if you need to drop your child off at the regular school time, RCS will provide free of charge child care from 8:45am until 9:45am.

In Christ, Al Hearne II, M.DIV, M.Ed.
