Devotional Thought:

“I love” in the English language is such an overused term because the meaning of the word love is often trivialized. If we love something in life, what we really mean is that it brings me such great pleasure because the inanimate object cannot reciprocate love to us. However, the God of the universe Who is the Giver of all life, physically and spiritually, is Someone Who has demonstrated His love to us through Christ Jesus, and our response needs to be appropriate to the holiness and righteousness of God’s character. He commands us to love our fellow human beings and to keep His commandments. If we love the living God and Savior, we will reciprocate His love by loving others in our thoughts, actions and deeds. Pray that the Holy Spirit would help you to do no wrong to your family, neighbors or your spiritual family in Christ.
In Christ, Albert Castaneda, MSHS Assistant Principal & Director of AAP

“Fabulous Five” As Reported By RCS Teachers:

  1. Mrs. Sommers reports, “We had fun learning about the 8 phases of the moon. Miss Archer, a student teacher from Moody Bible Institute, taught about the
moon phases using Oreo cookies.” Click Here
  2. Mrs. Hendren reports, “Philopater Badawi helped the Math Department celebrate Pi Day (Tues, 3/14) by creating a Pi themed scavenger hunt. Students competed to win prizes: a pizza pie, dessert pie, or (runner up) received $3.14.”
  3. Mr. Cagle reports, “First day on the field for the high school marching band happened last week. It was exciting to see the HS Band students learning to march!!”
  4. Mrs. Suth reports, “This was our first week of group presentations in AP Literature. The students are to address chapters in The Return of the Native from an AP analytical perspective. The high point is that I didn’t have to add much to the presentations! “
  5. Mrs. Clausen reports, “Eagle Dash was live and in FULL Color on Monday. High School students enjoyed an obstacle course race as their peers cheered them on to slide, roll, and crawl to the finish. Mrs. Hendren and I had a SUPER time and are so thankful for the students who participated in supporting Redwood.” Click Here
