Academic Kindergarten 

Please label all items (1-9) with your child’s name:
1.  Beach towel or blanket (no bigger than 3 feet by 5 feet) and a pillowcase to hold blanket: no pillows, sleeping bags, or mattresses, please
2.  Backpack or book bag large enough for lunch box and folder
3.  One (1) pair of scissors -  Fiskars work well - (safety scissors often do not cut, but only bend the paper.)        
4.  One (1) Plastic supply box - approximately 6x4x2 to hold pencils, crayons, scissors and glue sticks
5.  Three (3) folders with pockets at the bottom, not on the sides (cover pictures compatible with Christian values. Please, put name on the top front right.) 
6.  Girls, when wearing dresses or skirts, must wear play shorts underneath all day.
7.  Athletic shoes which provide strong lateral support, to be worn all day
8.  One (1) plastic place mat with name on top
9.  One (1) container of play dough with name on lid and container

Do Not label the following supplies as they will be used jointly by all the children:
10.  24 regular yellow #2 pencils, already sharpened, preferably Eagle or Ticonderoga brand
11.  5 glue sticks (white glue only)
12.  Two (2) boxes of 200 facial tissues
13.  Two (2) rolls of paper towels
14.  Two (2) boxes of wet wipes, (approximately 60-80 count)
15.  Three (3) boxes of Crayola crayons 24 count only (not washable)

Note: Kindergarten boys who are unable to snap, button, or zip their pants should wear pants with an elastic waist band.


PEACH Kindergarten & Grade 1

1.  Girls, when wearing dresses or skirts, must wear play shorts underneath all day.     
2.  Small plastic school box (approximately 7" x 9") for pencils, crayons, and glue (Bigger will  not work.)
3.  Five (5) pocket folders (cover pictures compatible with Christian values, please) The folder should allow papers to slip in the pocket at the bottom of the folder - not the side pocket.
4.  Three (3) boxes of 24 crayons (not 64)
5.  Athletic shoes which provide strong lateral support to be worn all day
6.  10 regular yellow #2 hardness pencils with no names on them
7.  2 medium soft erasers
8.  Five (5) glue sticks
9.  Four sets of washable marker pens, wide tip, basic colors: red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange, black & brown
10.  Kindergarten only: Beach towel or blanket (no bigger than 3 feet by 5 feet) and a pillowcase to hold blanket: no pillows, sleeping bags, or mattresses, please
10.  Backpack or book bag (full-sized) with zippered fabric - no plastic or drawstrings, please (Roll cases are allowed but not encouraged for K-1st.)
11.  Three (3) rolls of paper towels
12.  Four (4) boxes unscented baby wipes ( Unscented Huggies work best.)
13.  Three (3) boxes of facial tissues
14.  One (1) water color paint set
15. Package of 4 (thin tip) dry erase pens (black)

Grade 1 

The following items with an asterisk (*) must be labeled with your child's name       
(you may use computer labels or a Sharpie permanent marker)

*1.  Girls, when wearing dresses or skirts, must wear play shorts underneath all day.
*2.  Athletic shoes which provide strong lateral support to be worn all day
*3.  Three (3) pocket folders (Cover pictures must be compatible with Christian values.)  These should be strong enough to stand when open.  Besides providing storage for our papers, we will use them as "walls" between students at tables.
4.  Two (2) boxes of 24 crayons No larger boxes please No scented crayons
5.  Scissors with blunt tip (non-plastic)  Fiskars work well.
*6.  Backpack or book bag large enough for supplies (Folders go home in them daily.) Roll cases are allowed but not encouraged in K-1st.
7.  Eight (8) glue sticks
8.  Four (4) soft medium pink erasers
9.  Eight (8) eraser tops to be placed on top of pencils
10.  Twenty-four (24) plain yellow no. 2 pencils. (Ticonderoga are best) (Please sharpen them at home.)
*11.  One (1) zippered pencil pouch (Miss Orluck’s class) or
One pencil box (Miss Masin’s class)

I will periodically ask for a box of Kleenex, roll of paper towels, hand sanitizer and baby wipes.  I’ll let you know when it is your child’s “turn” to bring these items to class.

Any other supplies needed will be communicated at Parent-Teacher Night.

Grade 2

Please put your child's name on all these supplies with a permanent marker, except as noted.  
1.  Girls, when wearing dresses or skirts, must wear play shorts underneath all day.
2.  Two (2) school boxes (5" x 8") big enough for following supplies:  pencils, eraser, crayons, scissors  and glue (Make sure crayons can fit in supply box.)   NO oversized supply boxes please
3.  Two (2) sturdy pocket folders. Cover picture compatible with Christian values, please These should be strong enough to stand when open. Besides providing storage for our papers, we will use them as “walls” between students at tables.
4.  One (1) box of 24 crayons
5.  One (1) box of markers (no large sets)
6.  Athletic shoes which provide strong lateral support, to be worn all day (Label with initials.)
7.  One (1) dozen #2 hardness pencils - sharpened (Do not label pencils.)
8.  Two (2) medium soft erasers and one (1) pack of small pencil top erasers 
9.  Six (6) glue sticks (Do not label glue sticks.)
10.  Scissors with blunt tips, non-plastic (Please label.) Last year’s scissors are fine.
11.  New International Version (NIV) Bible (Old and New Testaments)
12.  One water bottle (NOT disposable.)
13.  Backpack, roll case or book bag large enough for supplies
14.  One (1) regular box of facial tissues (200+ sheets)
15.  Two (2) red pens for correcting
16.  One (1) box of baby wipes
17.  One (1) roll of paper towels

Please label all crayons and markers.  Do not label pencils and glue sticks.

PEACH Grade 2/3

Please put your child’s name on these supplies with a permanent maker:

1.  One (1) school box not larger than 5" x 8"
2.   Two (2) boxes of 24 crayons and a box of Crayola markers (basic colors)
3.   Medium soft eraser
4.   Scissors with blunt tips (non-plastic)
5.   Six (6) plain colored pocket folders  

These items will be community use items - no name is necessary:

A.  Two (2) packages of 24 pencil cap erasers
B.   Twenty four (24) #2 hardness pencils (Dixon Ticonderoga Please)
C.  Sixteen (16) glue sticks
D.  Two (2) regular boxes of facial tissue
E.   Six tubs of Baby Wipes (refill packages are ok)
F.   One set of four white board pens (fine tip)
G.  One (1) set of highlighters: must have pink, green, yellow, and blue

Choose one additional item of your choice:

*Ziploc baggies any size

Parents, please use discretion in selecting lunch pails, folders, etc., which carry a message that is not harmonious with what we seek to teach at school. Just as we need discernment in selecting clothing at our Christina school, please be sure the wording and characters on other items promote our school philosophy (e.g. movies &TV, musical groups, slogans) If unsure about whether an item is appropriate, it may be best to choose something else. Thank you for your help.

11.  Three (3) packs 8" x 10 ½ " wide-ruled binder paper. No pictures, no college-ruled, or spiral notebooks. (Only bring about 100 sheets in your binder, leave the rest at home.)                                 
12.  Backpack, roll case or book bag for supplies (as small as is practical, please)

8.  Four (4) #2 hardness pencils or mechanical pencils (.7mm or .5mm)
(Buy extra lead for the mechanical pencils.)
