bay area private christian schoolThere was a four-legged friend in Miss Orluck’s first grade class on Monday.  Students were joined by Pam Chinn, who oversees the Guide Dog for the Blind program in the Castro Valley and Hayward area.  She brought Bebe, a guide dog in training.

The class met in the Redwood Christian Elementary library to learn about how guide dogs are trained and how they can help the blind. Mrs. Chinn sees her training of service dogs as a ministry to the Lord and to her community.  Her hard work and sacrifice in training these dogs result in individuals who are blind gaining independence and self-worth as they partner with one of her service dogs.  Mrs. Chinn loves to inspire children to invest the time and effort to serve others.
