Welcome to Redwood Christian Elementary School

We are glad you made it to our site!

Redwood Christian Elementary is on the move.  We are
excited about about the opportunity to "run the race"
with you.  Our goal is to do our very best with our 230+
Kg-5th grade students. This includes excelling academically
under the guidance of our veteran teachers, developing
physically in our outstanding (daily) P.E. program, being
nurtured in the fine arts such as Art and Music (instrumental
or vocal), and growing spiritually in our relationship with
God.

Located in the spacious facilities of Redwood Chapel in
beautiful Castro Valley, we have access to a large gym, an attractive library complete with an active computer lab, and an attractive auditorium in Redwood Chapel's Worship Center which is more than suitable for our weekly chapels, our assemblies, and our drama and sing times. 

Our standard classes score well above national averages on the Stanford Achievement Tests taken each spring, often in the top quarter of the nation.  For students who have been experiencing academic difficulties, we have a Reading Specialist who meets with small groups twice weekly in our Jump Start program.  For those needing more extensive help, we have a well-acclaimed PEACH program (Providing Extra Assistance, Care and Hope) with small student-to-teacher ratios.

Before and after-school extended care is available and often is open during non-school days and during the summer.

Throughout our many programs, our goals are to teach a love, respect and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ and to prepare our students for excellence in this life and for eternity.  If these are compatible with your goals for your children, we enthusiastically extend a big WELCOME to you.
