The RCHS Class of 2003

June 2009

After a day at the SF Zoo, dinner at the Fairmont Hotel in SF, John Edington proposed to Kaitlyn DeVaul on the beach along highway 1 on Friday, June 19th.  Kaitlyn is studying to be a phlebotomist in San Jose and John is an apprentice carpenter.  Both live in San Jose.  Kaitlyn's father is one of the pastors at Hillview Bible Chapel.   They have not set a wedding date yet.

A note from Mallori Macklin:

I attend CSUEB. I got engaged June 30, 2007 to Marcus Branch, a student at Princeton Theological Seminary, and our wedding date is set for Aug 30, 2008. I am moving to Princeton, NJ in September of 2008 where I will graduate from Rider University with a degree in Psychology.

June 2007

A note from Lisa Black says, in part: The closer my graduation approached, the more I wrestled with what to do after college. Should I go on to get my teaching credential or go into missions? Then I was approached to be a part of a unique program with Campus Crusade. It is a one-year internship program where I will be able to work with the campus metro ministry in the San Francisco Bay Area. This team is working to reach the 450,000 college students on over 45 campuses in the Bay Area. I cannot think of a better way to use this next year!

This is my passion: to see students experience the love of Christ, and in turn, to pass on this love to their own "mission fields".

Peace, Lisa

April 2007

RCS just received these pictures from the Davidson Family. Looks like Brandon has been busy as two of his sisters, Tessa (class of '04) and Amber (class of '01) were married in 2006. Also participating were Courtney (class of 99) and current students Whitney and Mikaylah. Congratulations to all.

February 2006

Sorin Neagu writes: I am in my third year at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park Cal. Majoring in psychology. I plan to go into clinical psychology after I get a PhD in another 7 to 10 years. I believe me and my brother Julian Neagu are the only two alumni from Redwood up here in these parts.

October 2004
Jennifer Garcia is on the Dean's list for the second year at California State University of Hayward. She is a Presidential Scholar for a second year. Jennifer is working on a double major in Chemistry & Computer Science. She is also planning a wedding to Edward Lee Bassard III (also Class of 2003) in June or July of 2005. Congratulations, Lee and Jennifer!

September 2004

Thank you for serving our country,
Chris and Michael Shaddle!

Looks like Chris has a few words of advice for brother Michael!

November 2003

Can you identify the girl in the photo to your right?! Yes, it's Jennifer Lopez (No, not THAT Jennifer Lopez!), working at Walgreen's on Foothill Blvd. in Hayward! In fact, she waited on Supt. and Mrs. Johnson!

July 2003

James Rojo became an Eagle Scout on January 19, 2003, while a senior at Redwood Christian High School! Congratulations, James!
