My Dad, (Howard Boyd) gave me this sweatshirt and I promised him I would wear it on the top of Haleakala. This was our 5th anniversary vacation last July. I attached 2 others from the trip also. Keep me in your prayers, I fell and broke my Fibula about 3 weeks ago. Pray that I will heal fast! Brian ('94) and Rebekah (LuQue) Humes welcomed Isabella Renee into their family on July 31st! Isabella was 8 lbs 10 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. Congratulations Brian and Rebekah! |

| | | July 2005 Elizabeth (Boyd) Mohsin traveled with her husband Farhan, sister Jennifer Boyd ('91), and parents Mr. and Mrs. Howard Boyd (JH/SH Custodian) to the middle east for 11 days in February in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd's upcoming 60th birthdays. Highlights of the trip included: -Valentine's day @ the pyramids and climbing down inside the Great pyramid. -Staying at the Mena House Oberoi which is literally across the street from the great pyramid. It is a beautiful hotel built in late 1800's as a private residence. -A cruise on the Nile for 4 days from Aswan to Luxor with lots of stops at Temples along the way.

Mark and Elena (Santos) Scharnhorst welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Grant Henry Scharnhorst, on Monday, June 13, 2005 at 10:27pm at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward. He weighed in at 7lbs 11.5oz, 19.5" long. Mommy, Daddy, big sister Cassie and Grandpa and Grandma Joe and Anita Santos just can't get enough of him! |  |  |  |  |

On Jan. 29th, 2005 Jill Ferguson married Devin Cooley at First Covenant Church in Oakland. Elena (Santos) Scharnhorst was the matron of honor. She was glowing as she is expecting a baby boy in June! Elena's beautiful daughter Cassie was the flower girl. Jill & Devin are spending time honeymooning in London & Paris currently. They will be residing in San Francisco.

December 2002 Christian Vargas enlisted in the Navy's Advance Pay Grade program earlier this year and is in the Navy Reserve. When he graduated on November 13, he was given advance rank because of his civilian experience in seamanship and logistics. He is assigned to a unit out of Alameda, CART C101, which does at-sea replenishment. In this photo, he is being congratulated by his recruit division commander. | |
July 2002 Scott Palmer is counting his blessings these days! In October of 2002, he will marry Carrie Richardson. He says, "She is the joy of my life, and I love her so much. God has truly been gracious and generous to me with such a gift. She is a wonderful Christian who is so encouraging to me in my walk with God." They will marry in Tacoma, WA, where they will also live. Scott graduated from college a year ago and works for Weyerhaeuser, a forest products company in WA, in the accounts payable department as an invoicing specialist. | |
July 2002 Jennifer Houghtelling recently graduated from California State University at Hayward with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She is currently working at the Hayward Police Department as a Records Clerk. |
December 2001 Kristin Serdahl graduated in May from The Master's College, with a degree in Liberal Studies/Teacher Education. She is currently student teaching at the elementary level. She plans to go to New Zealand in June to work with a church there for a year! |
October 2001 Brenda Monk was a bridesmaid in the wedding of her sister Becky in Anaheim, CA, on Saturday, October 6, 2001. She is pictured being escorted back up the aisle after the service, which was held at the American Family Living Estates. Siblings Bonnie (Monk, '94) Shulz and Brad Monk, '91, also took part in the wedding. Brenda is a graduate of Simpson College in Redding, CA. | |
September 2001 Jennie Chang is still recovering from her knee surgery of last year but is doing great. She will attend Cal State, Hayward, this fall, where she plans to major in liberal studies, credential track, to get her teaching credential in elementary education. (Come back and join all our other alumni now teaching at RCS, Jennie!) |
May 2001 Karianne Wolfer has graduated with a BA in Dramatic Arts from Mills College. She also received the Marrion Long Stebbins Award for the most talented/promising senior! Kari will travel to Costa Rica for the summer before moving on to her next life's endeavor: studying Spanish while in Costa Rica! |
March 1999 Sean Baerwald is an employee at The Pizza Joynt in Hayward, on Hesperian across from Kennedy Park! Just be careful not to sit under the train whistle when the organ is playing! | |
