The RCHS Class of 1994

4/7/10

A Note from Jaime Jensen:

Hello friends!  As many of you know, I have *basically* moved to Buenos Aires indefinitely.  While on vacation over the New Year’s holiday an opportunity arose for me to partner with a friend and help run her real estate business here!  Since I have been craving a change for quite some time now when the opportunity arose I decided to take it!!  In Buenos Aires furnished rentals are fairly popular with travelers and expats living here, so the majority of our clients looking to buy or rent apartments are actually Americans!

My official move is still in the works, but since I have been getting continuously emails wondering what is going with my ambiguous departure figured I better make some sort of announcement!!! J  I am still wrapping-up business in San Francisco as I transition the move and implement some changes to the business here in Buenos Aires.   At this point I am still unsure as to how long I will be staying, but the longer I stay the more I feel it just might be a while! There is just something so wonderful about this city that I anticipate I will want to experience it for a while…especially once I better master the language (Argentines speak a slightly different Spanish known as Castellanos).

So if you pass through Buenos Aires or have friends traveling here please let me know!! I would love to showcase my new city to visitors, help set-up your temporary accommodations if needed and of course suggest great places to visit while in the area!  I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible during my trip home late April to early May!!!

As we say in Argentina…besos!!!

P.S.  Coming Soon your very own bi-monthly contributing writer to www.therealargentina.com as “The American Girl in Buenos Aires”!! J

An update from Jennifer (Sellers) Ontiveros:

This last year has been a big one for our family.
We had a baby girl, Annelise Cay on March 23, 2006. She weighed 9lbs 6oz and was 22 inches long. She is now six months and an absolute joy! Danny is now 3 years old. He keeps me busy because he is so active and curious!
Randy graduated with his PhD in English from UC Irvine this last June. He got an assistant professor position in Chicano/Chicana Literature in the English department at University of Maryland, College Park.
Now we live across the country in a Maryland suburb only 30 minutes from Washington DC. I am staying at home full time, which I have never done and is quite an adjustment for me.
I have a blog that details our family life if anyone wants to check it out! www.ontiverosfamily.blogspot.com
Here are pictures of Danny on his first day of preschool and Annelise at 6 months.

Tyrone Snipes took Jene' Levine to be his bride on July 21, 2001, at Canaan Christian Covenant Church in Oakland. Tyrone's brother James (RCHS Homecoming King in 1998) was Best Man, and RCHS grad Robert Benner was also a groomsman. Guests were seated by four lovely hostesses, and the bride and groom "jumped the broom" into matrimony at the end of the service, recognizing a tradition from the days of slavery. It was a blest event for all! Tyrone has been accepted to Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine for fall of 2002 admittance. Jene' is working for the City of Richmond, using her Masters in Urban Planning and Community Development.
